Perimenopause: As a women approaches menopause, menstrual irregularity becomes more common and frequent due to problems with ovulation. The eggs are also the same age and my not undergo ovulation properly, causing a hormonal imbalance and menstrual bleeding. If it is recurrent for 3-4 months, medical advice should be sought.
