My period ended 8 days ago, but i just started getting it again. how is this possible?

Ovulation bleeding: Bleeding about 12 - 14 days after the onset of the preceding menstrual period can indicate ovulation bleeding. At ovulation, there is a slight drop in estrogen concentrations, which can give rise to a temporary breakdown in the build-up of the inner lining of the uterus, which starts being shed (light bleeding), with recovery, when the estrogen levels rise again soon after.
