Bruised tooth: If you. Are concerned about trauma, this will depend on the trauma. Sometimes the trauma is great enough to cause the nerve to die and a root canal may be needed. If you have mobility or pain this should be evaluated by a dentist

Traumatized tooth: Regardless if there was trauma to a tooth you definitely should see a dentist to have it evaluated, as you may not be aware of a fractured root, etc. Everything may seem fine and yet you could have a serious underlying problem. On the other hand it could seem problematic and everything could heal uneventfully. It also needs to be monitored over time as nerve death might take months to evolve.
