Good success: If your treatment plan has already included conservative treatment and this has failed, surgery may be indicated. Repair can be achieved in many ways depending on the location of the torn ligament and has good success.

Maybe: If the ligament is fully torn and the foot is in pain and ustable then surgery would be helpful.
