Sharp, sudden pain in right side of lower abdomen. Gas?

Gas or muscle spasms: Muscle spasms are sudden, sharp, knife-like pains like charley horses -- but in the abdomen. Rubbing on them should make them go away. If not, or if they persist, you should see your primary provider for a more thorough examination to make sure it's not something more severe. Good luck!
