Many factors: Body aches, by themselves, can cause sleep problems. Poor sleep is usually due to being aroused from sleep and this is often due to pain from some area of the body.
An over the counter pain medication such as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) taken one hour before retiring can help alleviate aches while sleeping.
A 'sleep study' can provide more data-see your doctor for more info.

Possibly: Erratic eating is one cause of sleeping problems. It is important to avoid alcohol,caffeine and nicotine,irregular hours, late evening exercise,and late night meals when you are having trouble sleeping. Don't go to bed hungry either but only have a light snack at bedtime. Relaxation techniques are very helpful as any stress or anxiety makes it very difficult to fall asleep.

Have you talked to : Your dr about melatonin. Sleep hygiene is also improtant. 1.Keep regular bed & waking time (even weekends). Rise same time each day, regardless of time you fell asleep. 2. Develop relaxing bedtime routine: warm bath/shower, aromatherapy, reading, or listening to gentle music. 3. Sleep in dark, quiet, cool room w comfortable mattress & pillows. 4. Bedroom is only for sleep & sex. No work materials, .

13y old(no disease history)have adenoids that caused sleep problems.recently had hypertension (140/100), tried different medications but did not work?

Several odd features: many things make a reading of 140/100 possibly inaccurate. Needs to be done ideally lying down but certainly calm and at least sitting. AND NOT TALKING.
Then, there's half a dozen different bp med families. It seems unlikley that most of them would fail if given in sufficient doses.cannot say in your particular case, but generally, this isnt' a hard problem

An intricate physiologic balance regulates production and release of this hormone.  It may also enhance immune system responses.  It's possible that melatonin could worsen existing autoimmune conditions -- especially in the large doses available in health food stores.

Rare happens rarely: The most common symptom of a pheo is high blood pressure; tho sometimes this even is not present. Classically pheo presents with headaches, sweating and rapid heart rate, but insomnia and restlessness can occur; I hesitate in using the word "common" w/ pheo, as most docs will go an entire career and never see a case. Other, more frequently seen conditions should be checked for first.
