Possibly: Erratic eating is one cause of sleeping problems. It is important to avoid alcohol, caffeine and nicotine, irregular hours, late evening exercise, and late night meals when you are having trouble sleeping. Don't go to bed hungry either but only have a light snack at bedtime. Relaxation techniques are very helpful as any stress or anxiety makes it very difficult to fall asleep.

Sleep problems: If you are hungry it can definitely both impair your ability to fall asleep and stay asleep. It is possible though that lack of appetite and sleep difficulty are being caused by an anxiety disorder. I recommend that you have an evaluation by a psychologist, and you may also need to have a physical exam by your doctor to rule out organic issues. Don't get discouraged-help is here!

Not eating can: cause blood sugar drops and then spikes when you eat again. To avoid this "graze" throughout the day, kind of like a cow. Blood sugar drops will wake you up and you will want to eat. Why are you not eating? I suggest you visit your doc to sort this out. Peace and good health.

Of course. The: body is not happy when it is not nourished and this sets off lots of uncomfortable symptoms (stomach contractions, being one), but possible headache, dry mouth, etc.). Hard to sleep when feeling this way? Your body wants you to get up and track down a bear, or at least go out in the garden and pick a squash. Next question: why are you not eating? Have you seen a mental health or food pro?
