ABDOMINAL PAIN.: Erytromycin related antibiotics can cause stomach distress but  that shold stop soon.If symptoms are still persistent you need evaluation to rule out peptic ucler disease and gall stones.

i took 4 zithromax pills today because i might have an std. i am having terrible terrible stomach pain, it's a 10 right now on top of having uncontrollable diarrhea. can't go to the er. what should i do?

Stay calm: That is an unfortunate adverse effect of high dose zithromax.... Stay hydrated, try some mylanta or pepto... Not much else to do other than wait it out... Obviously, if pain not improving or completely unbearable, better to have it checked out by your doctor.

Depends: If these symptoms were related to the medication you might try taking it with food.  If this persists, see your doctor for a potential change in therapy, or for an evaluation to see if there is something other than the Azithromycin causing these symptoms.

Maybe an upset tummy: Zithromax is a good antibiotic for treating a variety of common infections. However, it can cause nausea and tummy gurgling. A few people end up vomiting, while others have some looser stools. Of course, there are also patients who feel fine after taking Zithromax. In general, if one does not vomit out the medication, it will get digested and it will start working against the infection.

hi. i had a stomach bug on the 20.04...took a course of zithromax...then took a flu vac on the 25.04. on the 1.05 i got the flu and took augmentin 1g?

Augmentin for what?: May be it was for another problem other than the flu, as it won't help to treat the flu (possibly its complications) . The flu vaccine needs at least 3-4 weeks to be effective, keep the follow-up with your doctor, wish you wellness

Side effects : Most drugs have the potential to cause an upset stomach - especially antibiotics.  Your lump could be strep pain or enlarged lymph nodes.  One you finish your course of antibiotics, the upset feeling should pass. Consult with the physician who gave you the antibiotics.
