Folliculitis: Various treatments used. Some of these can be used for more than 1 thing.  Castellani solution will help folliculitis, yeast, or intertrigo. Azole creams such as miconazole, ketoconazole, and clotrimazole are useful for yeast and seborrheic dermatitis. A visit to a dermatologist will be a good idea.

my scrotum is usually sticky and sweaty at most times and i have noticed a white/grey area on it, where it seems to be very itchy. is yeast infection?

Yes: That is the most likely answer. There are over the counter antifungal medications available, but I would recommend having your physician look at it to confirm the diagnosis. Fungal infections can be hard to cure if the area is constantly moist. Make sure to wear underwear and clothing that allows moisture to escape and dry. Baby powder can also help keep the area dry. Good luck.

i have had a red itchy scrotum for about 6 months. doctor said it was a yeast infection. but it wasn't. derm doesn't know what it is. tried steroid cream but that made it worse. still unsure.

Culture : Ask for a culture to rule out a bacterial intertrigo secondary to strep or another bacteria. See dermatologist or urologist. If indicated, they can try treating with ciclopirox 0.77% cream and a low potency topical steroid cream for now. Can start an oral antibiotic if culture is positive. Consider a skin biopsy to rule out paget's disease, bowen's disease or another condition if not improving.

Need more info: It is possible to have the above  symptom with yeast infection, this could also happen if certain types of condoms or spermicide are used (allergic reaction).

it's not really my abdomen, further in to my pelvis around my vagina. i had gone to my doctor about it a couple months ago and she said it was a yeast infection so we got that treated and it lasted for a little bit. started itching and burning again.

Groin rash: Yeast infections in the groin region are usually due to friction and moisture. Diabetes is also a cause.. Anityeast cream should clear it again. Avoid tight fitting underwear, wear white cottons and avoid tight fitting jeans.

Yes and yes: I always recommend taking a probiotic when taking an antibiotic and to continue the probiotic for at least a couple of months after. In fact, I usually recommend that my patients take a  probiotic daily for general health, but especially if taking an antibiotic.

Probably not yeast: Yeast infections are uncommon in the male genital tract. This symptoms makes me concerned about an STD, if you are at risk (new or unsafe partner, etc); or about a non-STD urinary tract infection. If you are under a doctor's care, check back with him or her. If not, i.e. treating yourself with Canestin, stop immediately and see a doctor. Your nearest NHS GUM clinic would be an excellent choice.

Yeast Rash: Yeast infection can present as bright red, painful rash.  Rash typically looks like bright red dots coalesced together, with surrounding scattered "satelite" lesions.  Can distinguish from simple irritant rash because yeast rash is usually confluent down into the creases of the skin.
