How do you feel?: Whether you are fit to work or not depends on what you do for work, and whether or not they have policy or regulations regarding employee health requirements. X-ray findings alone are generally not an issue; that said, if you are short of breath and cannot perform as needed, then fitness may become an issue. Pulmonary function testing may be required. Advise immediate follow-up CT/MRI + contrast.

Mgt: There may be an inflammatory, fibrotic or infectious process in that area. More information is needed about your clinical history and symptoms to narrow the diagnosis. 
A TB test should be performed if you have not had one in the last six months.

Pulmonary tb: It means lung scarring suggestive of pulmonary tuberculosis.  A PPD test or quantiferon gold blood test can help confirm if there has been exposure to tb.  A sputum culture and lung biopsy, bronchial lavage for culture can determine the antibiotic sensitivity.  A chest ct scan can also help determine activity of the tb. Accepted Answer

: The top tissues of either lung is the typical location of pulmonary tuberculosis infection and any findings suggesting an active infection in that location suggest it as a possibility. However, other tests are required to confirm that possibility and another germ may be the cause.

i was treated for ptb both lungs 1 year ago, i went to laboratory for employment my x-ray result say's i have residual fibrosis what does it mean?

Scar: The process of healing of TB results in formation of scar. The X-ray report is commenting on that scar as residual fibrosis. 
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

my xray result states that fibrohazed infiltrates in the left upper lung that results ptb. what does it mean? is this curable immediately? can it affect my application abroad?

Accepted Answer

: The wording suggests you have lung changes from a prior episode of Tuberculosis. Further study would be required to decide whether the condition is still active and what treatment is needed. If this condition is verified, it is curable, but treatment may take time. The effect this has on visa applications and employability would vary with the disease activity level.

Need more info: Are you asking whether you need further tuberculosis therapy? It sounds like you have had TB in the past and now have lung changes on chest x-ray. Are the x-ray changes true infiltrate, or merely scarring? Were you treated for TB in the past? With one, or more than one, medicine? Discuss this with your clinician who can confirm whether you had adequate treatment. Hope that helps.

i don't have any sign and symptoms of ptb but on the findings based on my x-ray there is a minimal ptb in my right lung... can this be possible?

Mgt: It may be possible to have few or no symptoms and still have TB infection. I would advise checking your TB skin test. If positive along with a Chest Radiograph that shows findings that could be TB, further testing is recommended. Treatment plans will be formulated by your physician. I can review the chest radiograph if it is uploaded.

my x-ray shows a thickened pleura in the mid-lower area of my right lung due to ptb. does it cause pain due to pressure on the lung during exertion?

Accepted Answer

Pleural thickening: Most of the time does not cause pain, although there are patients who complain of it. We can't predict who do. It may be that it can limit the expansion of your lung but the extent again is individualized.
