went to dr today. did an x-ray of my colon and confirmed that i was constipated. had there been any perforation or anything would they have seen it?

Most likely: A colon perforation is very painful and easily seen on radiography.  Constipation is a common problem and likely your doctor started you on something.  If your symptoms do not improve you should see your doctor.  On rare occasions a motility problem can be seen, but again, very rare and usually diagnosed when younger

i had an x-ray of my colon yesterday. i have some constipation. they radiology report said i had diffident stool filled colon. what does this mean?

Diffident: means "modest or shy because of a lack of self-confidence". So it is not a useful term with regard to describing the colon.

No: Minimal constipation than doesn't interfere with your life is no reason to get an xray. Won't tell you much anyway. Try fluids, juice, fiber fruits &amp; vegetables.

Usually not: Spastic colon (ibs i assume you are talking about) is difficult to diagnose and many times is a diagnosis of exclusion.

No, spine is not: Colon.  You need a colonoscopy to look at inside of colon.  You need a ct scan or MRI scan to look at outside of colon.  If this is a chiropractor who is telling you this, please consult a GI specialist with those x-rays.

Do not freakout, yet: In a 30 year old, it is very uncommon to see colon Cancer. So it may simply be a misreading, yet a colonoscopy examiantaion will clarify what is going on there, if anything.
Why did have an examination in the first place? What test was done and why? Do you have any abdominal symptoms? These pieces of History are essential to know.

: This means that a part of your large intestine, the transverse colon, was a little stretched due to gas. This finding needs to be put in the right clinical context-what symptoms, if any, were you having and does this x-ray finding explain those symptoms? So, see the doctor who ordered the test to see what treatment, if any, you need. You could also see a GI doctor, depending on your symptoms.

No: Severe constipation is concerning because of how uncomfortable it can be the impact it can have if uncontrolled; however the xray with no obstruction is reassuring - but this is not always a perfect test. The air fluid level can be nonspecific sign. It is important that you get on a good bowel regimen to regulate your bowel movements.

what are some causes of pain on the side of my left rib and a little towards the back? abd x-ray showed gas in my colon last week. can that be it?

Possibly: With persistent symptoms such as these, your best bet is to see your doctor so he/she can examine you.
