Cut back.: Not uncommon. As former uspf team physician, it was technique or over training.  Howwver, if it does not abate you need to see a sports doc or orthopedist to rule out a fracture of serious sprain. X-rays are probably in order!

can weightlifting (bench press, pectoral fly, pull-ups, push-ups, etc.) help or make worse wrist pain/carpal tunnel?

Carpal tunnel syndr.: All those activities (bench press, pull-ups, push-ups, etc) will make carpal tunnel worse. Any activity that requires a strong wrist force for performance will. Any activity, even if it is not a strong wrist force, that is chronic and repetitive (like typing) will also make carpal tunnel syndrome worst. You can reduce symptoms by wearing splints on your wrists at night to keep them straight.

See a hand doctor: Many causes for pain. Tendon or muscle tear, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. If is recurring see and hand and arm specialist before you continue this exercise!

i have wrist pain when i bend my wrist and when i put weight on it, why? i can't do any workout that requires me to put my body weight on it.

Need exam!: Apparently no hx. Of any injury to your wrist, correct?How long have you had this pain? Dominant hand?Pain w/ weight bearing could be many things including wrist sprain ( scapholunate ligament injury ), subclinical ganglion cyst, tfcc injury and a host of other things.See your ors for adequate history ; exam., etc. Good luck!

i have pretty bad wrist pain. i've sprained my wrist about 3 times. it hurts the most when i put weight on it/bend it. should i see a doctor?

Yes: multiple wrist injuries and pain could be a ligamentous injury or occult fracture both of which could be serious.

See details: There are several possible causes with tendinitis being a common one. It is impossible to offer specifics without being able to examine the wrist. See an orthopedist or rheumatologist.

Ulnar Nerve entrapme: Hi Cindykay A700,

What you describe could be an entrapment of the ulnar nerve at the wrist (Guyon's Canal) or further up at the inside of the elbow (by the funny bone). You need to see a hand surgeon for diagnosis and you may require nerve conduction studies to determine the exact location.

Suggest arthritis vs: this could  be arthritis or  neurologic issues  or  both.
You need to have  anevaluation and see your physician and possibly a rheumatologist and/or neurologist

It may: If there is a bone problem; a soft tissue problem is best seen on mri. The best exam is a physical exam and confirmed only by MRI or x ray.

Depends on the cause: It depends on the cause of the pain. Some are treated medically and some require surgery. Have it evaluated.
