Likely it is too big: You can cut it....I recommend you buy coflex one inch bandage instead to wrap a toe, ..

I will advise you : To that, taking your own cast and walking on it without doctor advise, however know you twisted your ankle, the ace bandage will not do anything for the ankle but you could apply it, if the swelling and the pain continue you have to check it again with your doctor.

No you should see : A dermatologist and figure out what the dermatitis is and they can prescribe something to help it go away, or figure out the etiology. Does not sound like compression would do anything.

Anti-inflammatory: You hurt your ankle 3 days ago and it is somewhat better with rest and ice.  Now you are somewhat better and so using it to walk you feel some discomfort.
This will get better most likely.  Contnue to use anti-inflammatory and rest with it elevated above your heart when not walking.  Continue to rest.

just came from er knee injury it was just just a sprain they wrapped  it with ace bandage so i sleep with it on er did not say?

Ice it: Should be ok as long as it is not too tight. Ice, elevate, and rest in the short term.

F/u with Ortho: Read the discharge instructions from the ER, call or go back if  you notice anything unusual.  Otherwise follow up as recommended.

Sorry but: Questions are not connected so do not know what the original question or problem was. It sounds like you need to be sure to elevate your foot as much as possible. Take ibuprofen 4 three times a day or 3 aleve (naproxen) twice a day. Be sure to ice it, frozen corn is great for 15 minutes every hour while acute. Maybe you can tighten the compression a bit tonight

Not : Not all fractures show up on a standard x-ray, especially if they're hairline fractures.  If you're starting to see bruising, you might have a little fracture.  It takes 14 days for bone callus to be visible on an x-ray (bone callus is this white, fuzzy looking stuff that surrounds fractures as one of the stages of fracture healing), so you might want to have your ankle re-x-rayed after 2 weeks to see if there is bone callus.

If you still have problems, an MRI would not only be able to show an occult fracture, but would also tell if you tore one or more ligaments.
