See a doc: You describe painful symptoms, but not a diagnosis as to it’s cause. See a PMR or pain doc for a work up to determine the why is this happening. Once you know the diagnosis, treatment options can be chosen. In the meantime, oral NSAIDS and other pain relievers make sense, as well as a pillow which provides proper support for both head and neck overnight. Good luck

Acute neck pain can cause headaches and may suggest that a disc in your neck is irritated which can also compress one of the nerves causing the arm pain you mentioned. If you notice any changes in your vision, speech, or if you have any significant weakness see your physician as soon as possible

your symptoms sound pretty benign may continue with some ibufrofen
try some hot showers or a hot tub bath with epson salts and see what happens if worsening please seek medical attention.

Muscle strain?: What kinds of activities have you been engaging in? Did you by chance travel and carry things on the right side more than you typically do? Do you play a sport? Did you sleep very soundly without moving? All these things and more can cause a spasm of the muscles, usually on the side of your dominant hand. If you had a fall, you should have a doctor take a look to make sure you don't have fracture.

Usually sorted out based on the symptom location, duration, associated symptoms and one's risk factors for heart disease and possible risk for blood clots. Take it easy!: If is just soreness it will get better in a few days. If the pain is still there after 2-3 days, then you may have a sprain/strain and you should visit your doctor for an evaluation.
