OCPs: The likelihood of your leg numbness occurring from one dose of orthocyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) is very low. If symptoms persist speak to your doctor and perhaps they will alter the means of contraception to another method.

Compression: Since your symptoms are related to a position (lying down, sleeping) it is probably a compression neuropathy. This is probably due to the Sciatic nerve (it runs from your gluets down the back of your legs) being pinched while you were laying down.  People typically refer to their foot or leg "falling asleep".
This is the most likely cause of transient, bilateral numbness in a 22y/o

See below: Numbness or tingling in your leg is usually due to compression of one of the nerves in your lower back.  If it does not improve on it's own after 1-2 weeks or worsens see your physician for further workup.

Nerve irritation: Hi Paula, the most likely explanation is that you have put pressure on one of the nerves of your leg whilst you were asleep. Chances are that this will gradually get better over the next 12 hours, see your doctor if not. You also need to see a doctor if you have a fever (over 37.8 C), have decreased feeling to the area around your bottom, have difficulty moving your leg or if you use IV drugs.

See details: This is likely to be meralgia paresthetica which is a compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. It often resolves with a little time. If it persists, have the issue evaluated.

Headaches : Headaches accompanied by sensory complaints in a limb are troubling. There is a kind of migraine that is hereditary that can cause weakness prior to onset of the headache. This is very unusual. The fact that there is discomfort in the chest and shortness of breath is very troublesome. You need to see a doctor as soon as possible. There is something going on and trying to deal with this on the internet is losing you valuable time.

my grandmother had got a few shots done on her chest to make a scar smaller, but after she got the shots she woke up and her left leg was completely numb. she said it has no pain, but she can not lift or move her leg at all. why is this?

Steroids for scars: While i cannot be sure what was injected into your grandmother's scar, it may have been a steroid (kenalog).  Steroids help soften and flatten scars, and may make them less itchy.  The shot should have nothing to do with her leg issue.

Normal: You cut off blood flow somewhat to hands and or feet depending on the way you sleep. Swelling in those areas could make it worse. Also heavy physical activity the day before could contribute. Being diabetic or having thyroid or electrolyte problems could be a factor.
