CHF: Congestive heart failure patients usually have structural abnormalities of the heart muscle and can have rhythm abnormalities so yes. Dental care both in the office and at home is important. A the dentist some office procedures and drugs could be problematic. Poor dental hygiene at home could result in infections which could cause valve problems. So dental care is important.

Bacteria: Like many procedures, dental procedures increase the amount of bacteria in the blood stream. Patients who have medical history of rheumatic fever or heart murmur are susceptible to bacteria i the blood stream, so antibiotic prophylaxis maybe required.

I would: not well addressed in the guidelines, but there is some endothelial damage necessary for the ablation - which heals over time - prophylaxis for the three or six months post procedure is probably over-safe, but the "cost" of prophylaxis is generally quite small.

Mouth Hygiene : Dental bacteria are dengerous on the heart valves. Must be followed closely by a ped. Cardiologist. This is a serious condition that should pass safely with good precautions and regular oral hygiene.

Maybe: Most stints heal and get covered over with tissue, therefore premed not necessary.
Ask your cardiologist what they recommend!
