That depends: Do you require them to be removed surgucally? Non surgical extractions, barring any post operative complications, recovery is typically 5-7 days. Surgical extractions recovery can take up to two weeks. The worst of it is usually 2-3 days out and then tapers from there. You should take any medications as prescribed as they are meant to assist you with pain management.

Really depends: Unfortunately sometimes this is best answered after the tooth is extracted because on then does the dentist know the degree of difficulty the removal of the tooth required.  I have some where the patients haven't experience much pain at all and sometime some that have been uncomfortable for 3-4 days.  But without healing complications that is generally the extent of it.

Talk to,your dentist: Your dentist or oral surgeon will give you instructions after he extraction.  This will vary a bit depending on the procedure used, if it was surgical and you have stitches you will have more pain and a longer healing. You will need to eat soft foods for a few days.

Mostly time, but: Immediate placement of cold pack on and off every 15 minutes until going to bed.  No ice the following morning! keep head elevated including using extra pillows at night.  Anti-inflammatory medication such as advil, motrin, aleve (naproxen) as long as not allergic. Limit physical activity.  Soft diet.  Keep area clean but no rinsing first 24 hours.  Call your dentist with any other specific questions.
