i got my wisdom teeth out on thursday can i smoke if i use gause ive been rinising with salt water and leaving tea bags in my mouth to help cloth ?

No: I would avoid smoking for at least 7 days post extraction as it slows down healing. If you no longer have active bleeding, and you should not, than you no longer need the tea bags. Rinse with warm salt water several times a day until tissue has closed off the extraction sites.

No change: Your shower routine should have no effect on your wisdom tooth surgery. You may want to stay away from the hot shower several days after surgery just to lower the chance of excessive bleeding. As always get advice from your surgeon.

Clotting: The clot may not fall out.  Tissue migrates over clot and causes the socket to heal.

Same as other clots: A blood clot from almost anywhere in the body will be bright red or blood colored. If it has been exposed to the air for a period of time it will be darker red.  Try to let them fall out of your mouth rather than actively rinsing your mouth.  This gives an extraction site time to get a good start on healing.

Highly unlikely: This usually happens within the first several days.  The lack of a disrupted clot to reform can lead to the development of a dry socket, but the incidence of fibrinolytic alveolitis is around 5%, and almost exclusively occurs in lower posterior areas.

See your dentist: Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, bleeding, swelling and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. Your symptoms could be a serous problem. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment and treatment.

A few minutes: It takes 10 to 15 minutes for a blood clot to form with the help of a gauze pack over the extraction site and gentle pressure. Repeat every 15 minutes if there is still bleeding. Oozing can occur for 24 hours which is normal. Do not disturb the clot and DO NOT GARGLE OR RINSE WITH ANYTHING FOR 24 HOURS.

i had my wisdom teeth extracted about 5 days ago, the stitches on one broke. do i need to get it restitched? there's no blood.

There is no need: If the area is clean and tissues are healing there is no need to have re sutured after the 5th day , there is no blood because the socket is healing..
