when i naturally close my mouth my jaw line joins on with my neck so i have too walk round with my mouth shut with my teeth touching  so my jaw looks better, how can i fix this?

what could cause mouth opening and breathing noise like darth vader (not snoring), with teeth clamping shut (not grinding) a few times while sleeping?

Test: You may have airway insufficiency resulting in sleep apnea.  See a Pulmonologist.  A sleep study may be in order.  If you are grinding or clenching, or if you have a narrow upper jaw and/or retrusive lower jaw, an Orthodontic examination should be performed.

past use of amitriptyline due to chronic migraine came off due to side effects . been off it over six months now but seem to have developed involuntary jaw movement . jaw will shut together randomly and i get teeth clashing . do. i need to worry?

: Those symptoms are likely not related to the discontinuance of amitriptiline six months ago. I suggest observation for now and pay attention to the relationship between the symptoms and other facts such as occurring more during stress, activity, at rest or during sleep, etc. You should see a neurologist if symptoms persists or get worse. : How long have you been off the medicine? This medicine takes a while to completely get out of your system so, if it has only been a few days, it may take longer for this effect to resolve, if it is from the medicine. If it continues, see a neurologist to determine what the etiology is and what the treatment would be. Good luck!

is it rare for tooth infection to spread and cause the throat to swell shut? i am on sulfamethoxazole. paranoid.

Not likely: Tooth infection can spread in very sick people, but if your throat is swelling you need to see a doctor asap.  There can also be allergic reactions to the antibiotic -- and this would be the more likely cause of throat swelling.  Please go to the emergency room if this is happening to you!  your prescribing physician also needs to know.

Cutters: You should keep a small pair of wire cutters handy in case that happens to make absolutely sure you don't aspirate or inhale any vomit. If this happens get back to whomever wired you shut to get the wires repaired.
