GP: You should go see your general practitioner doctor, it could be a side effect of a medicine you're taking, out it could be untreated anxiety disorder. Ask for a referral for a good therapist.

Same as fear...: When there is food in the stomach, it triggers blood flow to boost digestion and the absorption of nutrients. In dire threat the body rids itself of food so as to help redirect all efforts toward fight or toward flight.This reaction is triggered by adrenaline, which also causes the heart to race, the eyes to dilate, etc. A panic reaction is to a symbolic, not an objective, threat.

Anxiety disorder: You could have a type of anxiety disorder, and need a comprehensive assessment with your primary care doctor first.  If no overarching physical health problems are found, you need to consult with a psychiatrist about your panic attacks.  These are really very treatable.  Suffering with these for 2 years is far too long -- and unnecessary to boot.  Best wishes.

was on 75mg mirtazapine for 5 or 6 months recently cut back down to 30 over the last month, been getting panic attacks again daily so i went up to 45mg. i feel nausea, anxiety, hot and cold, dizzy hlp?

Come off slowly: 75 mg is a very large dose of mirtazapine. The maximum recommended dose is 45mg for depression.  Abruptly stopping or reducing the dose of these psychoactive meds can bring their own problems. I recommend you work with a physician to adjust the dose to a safe and therapeutic level. Alternatively, a pharmacist can advise you on these meds.

A team approach: Hopefully you are engaged with a supportive team including your primary physician, a gastroenterologist, a psychologist or psychiatrist. If not get one.

COULD BE, BUT...: Yes, especially if you've had the same symptoms in previous attacks. But if these symptoms are new, particularly if they are increasing in intensity see your dr. I'd like to be sure that anxiety without physical problems is  what's happening.
