Same as fear...: When there is food in the stomach, it triggers blood flow to boost digestion and the absorption of nutrients. In dire threat the body rids itself of food so as to help redirect all efforts toward fight or toward flight.This reaction is triggered by adrenaline, which also causes the heart to race, the eyes to dilate, etc. A panic reaction is to a symbolic, not an objective, threat.

Autonomic N.S.: Panic attacks feed the autonomic nervous system which controls bodily functions, such as digestion. The nauseous feeling arises from part of the digestive system, eg. Stomach, and tells the brain you feel nauseous. Since you fear vomiting and you feel nauseous, the panic attack gets much worse you should see a psychiatrist or psychologist trained to deal with panic attacks.
