Yes: If you talk to your provider, this should not be an issue. Although xanax is OK, your provider may choose ativan or valium. The meds work in similar fashion. Ativan and Valium are longer acting .

No: You shouldn't.  It is irrational to use two benzodiazepines at one time.  If it is being prescribed, your prescriber may not be aware of the dangers (or irrationality) of using two potent benzos together.  If it is not being prescribed, you are clearly having benzodiazepine abuse.  This combination produces significant physical dependency, and should not be stopped abruptly but tapered.  Seek help.
