Yes: If you think you need antibiotic treatment, then yes you do.  Symptoms of a urinary tract infection can be caused by many causes.  Obtaining a urin sample can also help confirm the diagnosis.  Furthermore, as drug resistant bacteria becomes more common, obtaining a urin sample will allow your doctor to confirm the correct antibiotic was prescribed.

Culture: If you're not sure that the UTI is still present, perhaps your physician could send you for a urine culture and thus avoid an office visit.

Yes: I always tell my patients to return if the symptoms get worse or don't go away.  No antibiotic is perfect, so it is possible that the antibiotic is not effective against your current infection, or there may be something else causing your pain!   A quick urinalysis can tell if the treatment has been effective or not.  Gt well soon!

Generally frequency is due to a) infection,B) incomplete emptying.You probably have a narrow urinary opening,which can easily stretched.What town are you in ? Hard to imagine you are given a 5-6 week
long appointment. Let me know.In the meantime sit in a
warm tub for 15 min /day it is O.K. to pee in the tub

Not unusual: If one has already seen a physician and has been diagnosed with a UTI (urinary tract infection), the presence of blood is not unusual as long as it resolves with the UTI treatment.  If a UTI has not yet been diagnosed, or if the bleeding continues despite appropriate antibiotic treatment, see your doctor to find the cause of the bleeding.

See below: Do not know if you are speaking of a male or female patient, as recurrent urinary infections in male patients is more unusual and potentially problematic. A family doctor may be a place to start, and a urologist may assist if there are additional concerns or problems.

Yes: it could be more involved and requires a culture and some antibiotics..
