Yes: If you think you need antibiotic treatment, then yes you do. Symptoms of a urinary tract infection can be caused by many causes. Obtaining a urin sample can also help confirm the diagnosis. Furthermore, as drug resistant bacteria becomes more common, obtaining a urin sample will allow your doctor to confirm the correct antibiotic was prescribed.

Yes and No: There are many factors to consider! i would see pcp unless you have a lot of confidence that is the dx. Use Pyridium (phenazopyridine) as per pkge instr. In box. If this is common call pcp and get abt called to pharm. The safest thing to do is see pcp for accurate dx. And meds.

I do believe so: Some times UTI is simple infection in the bladder or some time could be the result of kidney stone or other problem, when go to doctor he have in his mind those factors and he will help heal those issues.
