i had abdo surgery 4wks ago. i woke up with pain in my neck/shoulder which i thought was from the gas. the pain is still quite bad and i have noticed i cannot feel temperature on my shoulder. my arm feels achy and kinds numb. what can cause this?

: The symptoms are consistent with cervical plexus compression due to a prolonged and poor neck position but cervical herniated disc can't be ruled out. Massage or apply cold or warm pack at the site of soreness, take 2 OTC ibuprofen 200 mg (motrin, advil) with foods, every 6 hrs as needed for a day or two, move your neck and arm when pain has improved. Neck-shoulder-arm syndrome is usually limited.

i randomly get knee pain when lying down. my hip feels tight as if it has a pocket of gas that needs to be released. i have mild lower back pain on my right side.
the numbness and pain spreads is the worst when standing for a few minutes?

? radiculopathy: Your panoply of symptoms causes me to wonder about congenital lumbosacral stenosis, or even ankylosing spondylosis.  Since this appears complex, some blood tests and imaging studies are in order.  A neurological consult would be a good place to start.

if i'm having burning stools, night sweats, numbness and tingling arms and legs, and chest pains from gas, severely every night.  what could that be?

Worrying symptoms: The symptoms you are describing sound worrying. You need to see your Doctor to get some blood investigations to rule out any underlying sinister pathology. A concern is duck cases could be severe gastritis or other bowel issues such as malignancy

for an ingrown toenail procedure is there a gas to request if you are bad with the shots to help numb yourself for when they have to give the shot?

Typically not: Most ingrown procedures are performed in an office setting and gas is not typically available.    An oral sedative can be given prior to your office procedure or a topical anesthetic can be applied to the area to be anesthetized prior to the injection. If you opt to have your procedure performed as part of a procedure in a surgery center setting, the initial anesthesia administered may be gas.

Not normal: Hi. No, those symptoms certainly aren't normal, but they may have nothing to do with the Prolia. Have the symptoms persisted for the last 2 months (since they began)? If symptoms resolve, a test of the hypothesis that Prolia is causally related is to see if they recur with the next dose. If the symptoms were too bad to risk another Prolia dose, there are other good osteoporosis drugs available.

Extraction or anemia: The oximeter only shows the amt of oxygen binding of the existing hemoglobin in the ARTERIES. JUST BECAUSE UR SATS R FINE DOESN'T MEAN EVERYTHING IS FINE. This is a common mistake even docs make. In ur case, the VENOUS blood has lower O2 content. It cd mean the body is using up more O2 (more extraction) d/t infx,, vascular probs, smoking, etc. Or u cd be anemic. Less Hgb = lower O2 content. TTYD!

You bet it can: Alcohol associated with nutritional deficiency can clearly cause both large and small fibre neuropathy issues, and needs attention to prevent worsening.

No: Allergic reactions of skin cause itching but not numbness.

? Hyperventilation?: Have you been hyperventilating? Most often numbness is to lips, hands and feet.
