Technically yes: It can be done. However, a bone spur is usually the result of osteoarthritic changes and is not the cause of the pain. Studies have shown that arthroscopic surgery to 'clean things up' and repair minor cartilage damage usually provides no more than very temporary benefit.

See your surgeon: It sounds like you ought to call the surgeon that performed the arthroscopy and get examined. I wouldn't expect you to have these symptoms two weeks after your procedure.

Depends: as long as you did not have any type of repair of your miniscus for example you should be ok as long as you do not have pain

See your doc: The simple answer is to follow up with your surgeon to explore additional diagnostic &amp; treatment options.  Ask whether there are other sources of pain other than the plica. What about articular cartilage near where the plica was excised. i had knee arthroscopy (cleaned up my cartilage) 14 days ago and still can't walk without crutches. should i be worried? does this sound like something went wrong during surgery?

: This is a longer than average recovery period, but not necessarily serious or an indication of a problem during surgery. Obviously this is a question for the doctor who did the procedure. Good luck.

can i go horseback riding after 2 months post knee arthroscopy for meniscus tear. during surgery i had torn portion of meniscus removed . i have a trio coming up 2 months of my surgery and was just wondering i can go horse back riding ?

: Duplicate question, same answer. Riding probably is OK, but you should check with the doctor who did the arthroscopy and follow his or her advice.

i went to a hospital a year back, and was told that i have a knee meniscus tear, from which they did a knee arthroscopy to remove the torn meniscus. i havent been doing any extreme sports, but now the pain is back, and it somewhat feels worse.

: Back to Orthopedic doctor, I’m afraid.  May need repeat repair or injection of any one of several meds into the knee, depending on results of MRI scan.
