When getting used to new braces teeth may be sore, resulting in less calories consumed and very temporary weight loss.  Alas this is only temporary.  Want to loose weight safely, see a nutritionist. As much as you want: Although getting braces at time makes your teeth sore it will not guarantee you lose weight, exercise daily, caloric control and you can lose as much weight as you want!

Exercises such as crunches, planks, sit-ups, etc are good for toning the abdominal muscles, but cardio is best for weight loss.

It is healthier to gain a bit a weight than continue smoking.

Water: Drink water. Do not drink soda or juice. If you are looking for some "miracle" weight loss and "fountain of youth" elixer you are fooling yourself.

No: No fda approved antidepressant will make you lose weight per se. Most of them list the opposite side effect (weight gain) as possible. Wellbutrin (bupropion) is the least likely antidepressant to cause weight gain. That said, anecdotically, weight loss may occur by virtue of other factors (lifestyle changes, better diet, back to gym, etc) as a product of the improvement when using an antidepressant.
