Not on its own: The two are probably linked, and would be better off having your problem treated before it progresses to a potentially serious condition.  See your dentist who will discuss options with you and you can decide to remove the offending tooth or save it.

Get it examined: Toothaches are often a sign of exposed inner tooth structure (the dentin which is what covers the nerve of the tooth). If decay or damage to the tooth is significant, infection sets up. The lip numbness may or may not be related to the tooth problem. The only way to know for sure is to have it evaluated by a dentist. Get it checked as soon as you can.

See a doctor: you need to see a doctor, could be tooth problem, could be sinus problem, could be TMJ problem, either way you need some medicine to control the cause and for that you need a doctor.

i was given cefuroxime axetil for a sinus infection starting yesterday. i woke up with major head/toothache. can i take tylenol. i woke up a couple of hours ago with the pain and decided to go back to bed to see if it would go away. it did not.

You : You were given an antibiotic for your infection, and that should not interract with the tylenol (acetaminophen).

i took a daytime cold/flu medicine with 650mg acetaminophen 5-6 hours ago. i have a terrible tooth pain that wont go away. is it safe to take a vicodin now?

Toth pain: It is considered relatively safe to do so considering the time between the two but it is best to discuss this with your prescribing physician.

You may have a significant abscess (infection) at the site and require antibiotics.  Seeking pain medication may only mask the underlying condition and create a dependency.
