Caffeine: Lucozade is an electrolyte drink with caffeine. If you take too much caffeine, you may feel your heart racing. Other side effects may include anxiety, flushing, headaches, shakiness, dizziness and insomnia. If you are looking to increase your electrolytes, try a non caffeinated electrolyte drink.

Doctor can evaluate: Chest tightness or chest pain in a teen can be due to minor problems or to very serious ones. An emergency room doctor can check to see what might be going on. Sometimes, tests and chest x-rays will be done. Possible causes include costochondritis, partial pneumothorax (collapsed lung), pleuritis, myocarditis, acid reflux, heart arrythmias, etc... Heart attacks almost never happen in teens.

Exercise may help: Heart wall motion abnormality sometimes persists despite stent placement because it reflects scar from a heart attack. To improve outcome (despite persistent wall motion abnormality) should control blood pressure, lower LDL (bad cholesterol) to less than 70, control blood sugars, avoid tobacco, weight control and increase exercise to improve heart pumping ability & healthier living.

Evaluation should include an ekg and an outpatient 24 hour holter monitor to identify disorders of cardiac rhythm. If these are unrevealing a more prolonged outpatient monitoring period (loop or event) will be ordered. Treatment( ?meds, pacer)depends on documentation of cardiac dysrhythmias
