Muscle strain/spasm: The strong muscles in the back and neck can spasm or get inflamed from trauma and cause a sensation of pain that may last for some time. The pain could be a result of nerve pinching as well. Depending on other symptoms and duration it may warrant an evaluation if not resolving with simple measures of time and anti inflammatories. But Hypertension...: There are several conditions that can give the sensation of "burning my skin on my front head" but Hypertension is a condition that must first be ruled out. It will be a good idea to see the PCP soonest and have the BP checked followed by other examinations and tests to be sure.

After the nerve stops being compressed or deformed, typically the sensations will go away over time. Occasionally there may be some lasting sensations that take additional time to resolve. Depending on: how long ago you had your splenectomy, it could be a delayed subphrenic abscess or left pleural effusion.  Have your surgeon take a look at you.
