Wisdom Tooth: swelling after 3 months of wisdom tooth extraction can be from different causes, chronic infection is one cause as infection can spread in different directions, and can cause osteomyelitis of the bone.
Also there can be infection in another tooth or periodontal abscess formation.
There can possibly be swelling form other causes not related to the teeth

Yes!: Trauma to the gum and mandible from dental extraction causes disruption of the dentition and surrounding structures.  Inflammatory mediators released from the area cause inflammation producing swelling, redness, warmth, and pain.  Topical ice pack application to the area leads to Coolness, then Burning, follow by Aching, finally Numbness (CBAN), interrupts inflammatory cascade, reduces swelling.

Ice packs: Otc pain meds have anti-inflammatory properties, too. Unless, of course, the swelling is due to an infection, and then you will need antibiotics.

It is normal: Wisdom teeth extractions is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain and swelling following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. If after 7 days no improvement, see your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment and healing evaluation.

2 thoughts: The more extensive the surgery, the greater the chance of post-surgical swelling.
Your treating General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon is responsible for your post-surgical care. Schedule an examination. In addition to swelling from trauma you may have an infection.

Warm: Apply moist heat compresses to the swollen areas.  If the swelling does not improve and persists as a hard lump associated with pain, you may need to see your dentist/surgeon to rule out a postoperative infection.

S/p dental surgery: Go to urgent care today as you may need antiibiotics and then call the dentist in the AM as you may have developed an infection.

upper and lower wisdom teeth?
Where exactly is the lump?
Bleeding from extraction site(s) or lump area?
Lump soft or hard?
Lump tender?
Lump inside your mouth or near your ear on outside?
How big is 'massive'?
Medical issues?

My best advice is get back to the extracting dentist and have the situation assessed there.
