Depends: Pain after lumbar fusion is not unusual.  Further work up is determined by the specifics of the case.  How bad was your pain and symptoms before surgery?  Did they improve after surgery and now is suddenly getting bad?  How long ago was your surgery?  Is pain different? The answer to these questions and your physical exam will determine the need for further imaging.  Speak to your surgeon.   Gl!

Take ibuprofen and use heating pad and try stretching exercises you are too young to have pain in the back

Heavy periods: There are multiple options for heavy periods. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others.  If you are done having children discuss the option of an endometrial ablation.

why does my lower back on my left side hurt so bad? i didnt fall and dont have a fever. i do have hip implants, is it possible one is getting worn out? i had them done about 11 yrs ago, both sides.i sleep on my back, did i move the wrong way at night?

: Unconsciously favoring one side while walking/moving,  which may start with mild discomfort, especially after hip surgery at age "49" ( 60 minus 11 years), may suggest need for a  re-exam with x-rays or MRI to evaluate present conditions of both sides.

? hip impingement: Hip impingement can cause symptoms from teen years through middle age. In addition to pain after sitting, walking uphill can aggravate. Radiation to back, thigh or buttocks is not uncommon. Imaging with x-rays and MRI can make the diagnosis. An x-ray can reveal excess bone on the femoral head/neck and acetabular rim. An MRI can show fraying/tears of cartilage/labrum. See orthopedist or PCP

Nerve impingement can be caused by being sandwiched between two spinal bones, pressed by a bulging disc or encroached upon by bony overgrowth. It can cause severe vision impairment and muscle spasms. Rec.: see an interventional pain management specialist for further investigation.

Musculoskeletal pain: Definitely sounds like a musculoskeletal problem. Should consult a primary care physician if it doesn't go away.  Could try warm heating pads,  - if you don't have any ulcers or stomach problems - then Ibuprofen may help decrease the inflammation.

Exam: Certainly get an xray of your lower back and an examination. You may have an irritated sciatic nerve: OK to use OTC Tylenol (acetaminophen) if you are pregnant. Passive stretching exercises  and good posture will help.
