Varicose veins?: If you have  veins that you can see in your legs, think about seeing a phlebologist (vein specialist).  If you don't see any veins, you could try wearing compression stockings during the day.  If that helps, i would still see a phlebologist.  If no veins and stockings don't help, a visit to a podiatrist might be in order.  Seeing your primary care doctor before anyone else is never a bad idea.

See doctor: Warmth and pain are two of the cardinal signs of inflammation. See primary care doctor or rheumatologist to make sure that you do not have an underlying autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis .  They may intern  have you evaluated by a foot specialist  for evaluation.

Stepping on a nail: requires medical attention. You may need tetanus shot depending on your last booster shot. Also if there is redness and swelling may need anti biotics, so best you get to a doctor right away.

See your MD: See your MD for a full exam. Take a pregnancy test. Your MD needs to give you a full exam and take a careful history as this can have many causes. For symptomatic treatment, you can rest, ice, elevate and use your socks to compress. Make sure you are not pregnant before taking any NSAIDs which can help for relief until you can see your MD. Good luck.

Neuropathy: These symptoms are consistent with peripheral neuropathy which can be seen in diabetes, prediabetes,Vit B12 deficiency, alcohol abuse, circulatory problems or certain medications. Another possibility is restless leg syndrome. Either way a neurologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you. Appropriate tests will be ordered.
