Likely unrelated: When you swallow or yawn the levator palitini muscle in your throat straightens out the tube between the throat &amp; middle ear. It often allows air movement in/out of the middle ear if that tube is partially closed. I would ignore the issue as it has no significance.

i have a problem where i have a habit of making my ears crackle by moving them and my ears also crackle when i swallow and they pop alot i also have tinnitus but only in silence i can hear it how can i get rid if this habit and is it normal?

: It is quite normal to make your ear drum crackle by different maneuvers just like moving a muscle. I don't think the tinnitus is related but there may be a wax buildup in the canal near the ear drum.A physician or ENT specialist can examine and advise you. Most cases of tinnitus are otherwise incurable in my experience. I know one physician who went all over the world trying (unsuccessfully)

i feel like i need to pop my ears, all the time, & i can pop them at will - i hear the pop sometimes a crackle, but as soon as i swallow it goes back to how it was before. is this normal? or can it mean eustachian tube dysfunction? thank you?

: The Eustachian tube links the floor of the middle ear cavity to the back of the throat. It allows middle ear mucus to drain to the throat and air to enter from the throat to the middle ear. What you describe is occasional blockage of the tube, leading to minor vacuum as oxygen is absorbed followed by re-opening after jaw movement-air moving in. Common for some/allergies/colds/ not worth worrying.

Eustachian tubes: Eustachian tube dysfunction. It probably allergies. Try nasal spray or OTC ani- histamines.

PN drip: Postnatal drip can give you a sore throat and if thick enough it causes ear pain by not allowing your ear tubes to empty out in the back of your throat.
