A member asked:

Why might it be that my ears crackle when i swallow or yawn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Air into ear: When you swallow or yawn, you open the eustachian tube, which allows air to enter your middle ear. This then causes your ear drum to move producing the crackling.
