my father has stroke on november 2020 so it has been 5 months since recovery. but last 2 weeks, he has shortness of breath on and off everyday. may i know what this is? is it a post-stroke recovery symptom?

Shortness of breath can be due to serious, even life-threatening conditions, including but not limited to congestive heart failure, bronchospasm, pulmonary embolism, deconditioning, etc. A doctor will be able to diagnose and treat the problem. Going to bed with a full stomach increases the likely-hood that acid from the stomach can leak into the esophagus and cause chest symptoms including cough, chest tightness and voice change.  Treatment includes antacids, h-2 blockers and protein-pump inhibitors.
