Reflux: The most likely cause of your breathing problem is gastro-esophageal reflux or what is common.Y called heartburn. Going to bed with a full stomach increases the likely-hood that acid from the stomach can leak into the esophagus and cause chest symptoms including cough, chest tightness and voice change. Treatment includes antacids, h-2 blockers and protein-pump inhibitors.
