why do i have constipation, diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, and blood in my stool on and off? this started when i was 10. i'm 20 now.

IBS, other?: This is hard to answer without exam and some work up with labs, etc. However, it sounds like this could be IBS with fluctuating constipation and maybe some haemorrhoids that are causing blood in the stool. If you have ever had fever, night time toilet visits, or severe persistent pain, I would encourage you to see an M.D. for work up.

Possible allergy: You might be allergic to pork, or you might have infectious diarrhea. See your doctor. Good luck.

Diarrhea: This is often due to a viral infection, but can possibly be due to numerous other things. If this does not begin to get better in the next 2 days you need to see a doctor and be evaluated with history, exam, labs. In the meantime try and stay well hydrated.

Clear fluids,to diet: Start with clear fluids containing electrolytes and increase the diet to bland diet , brat diet , which is banana, rise, apple and toast, soda, crackers, plain boiled potatoes, clear soups, avoiding fatty, spicy and diary products till back to normal
this is diet for acute diarrhea due mostly to viral and sometimes bacterial infectons causing diarrhea
the main purpose in acute stage is to prevent dehydratio.

Atypical: But possible and described. Inform your GP as well who can further coordinate locally in case you need further work up in case test is negative and/or hydration. Unfortunately we cannot provide referral letters otherwise.

Be patient: Rather uncommon diarrhea after cholecystectomy is well described. Continue with current regimen and wait. Most of the times it resolves. Lomotil (diphenoxylat and atropine) helps control partially.

Sounds: Pretty bad and uncomfortable . Have you talked with your doc about options? What the are depend on if you want more children or not but several are available to help you avoid your suffering.  Oral contraceptives to the iud to the Depo-Provera shot to an ablation  are all possibilities further depending preference and other circumstances. Have a frank talk with your doc.

Go see ur family doc: Yellow toilet water may indicate inadequate hydration (causing concentrated urine). the doctor did a ct scan and said looks like a small bowel obstruction but i have severe diarrhea could it be something else and how's it treated?

Not likely: A ct scan is not the best test for a functional bowel obstruction. A small bowel series is a better option. The cynics a one time picture and the fact that you are having diarrhea probably rules out the chance of a vowel obstruction. I think there is something else going in. Stool cultures are in order and possibly more testing.
