i sometimes (at least once a month) get pain in my bladder after emptying. the pain can only be relieved when i place pressure on my bladder. help?

Bladder spasm: Sometimes a bladder spasm, like a muscle cramp, occurs in the bladder after it is emptied.  It may mean that you delayed urination for a while causing the bladder to stretch, then contract more strongly after emptying.
Since it occurs infrequently, no treatment is indicated, but following an old urology professor's recommendation--"never pass a water fountain or bathroom without using it!"

Exam needed: An examination is needed. You may have an inflammatory process in the colon such as diverticulitis or colitis. If so, associated bowel symptoms and/ or abdominal tenderness would be common. With severe inflammation of the descending colon, pressure on the urinary bladder can occur. If abdominal discomfort is severe, I recommend that you go to the hospital emergency room for prompt evaluation.

Infection?: You may have a urinary tract infection. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice. See your doctor if your symptoms persist.

i recently had a uti and got some meds for it .  i finish my meds. now i only feel this slight pressure on my bladder, is this normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Even after the treatment the symptoms may persist for a while due to inflammation.  If it worsens then it may need more treatment but hang in there.

Unclear, but: If all bladder eval is normal, i would think of unusual things like endometriosis if you are a female or uterine fibroid. Also, an empiric trial of Azithromycin is worth doing due to poss atypical infection like chlamydia and ureaplasma whether a man or woman especially if sexually active. An eval by gyn is advisable if female. I forwarded your question to urology for input and suggestions too.

23 y/o female. what does it mean when you have to urinate frequently? like there's pressure on my bladder? my urine is normal. no other symptoms.

When you say: "urine is normal", does that mean a urinalysis, or just you looking at it?  Sounds like a common bladder infection which should be treated.

in the am i'm fine, but throughout the day my urethral sponge puts more and more pressure on my bladder.urine test normal.what's wrong?how to fix it?

Unclear?: Your urethral sponge, even if engorged, would put pressure on your urethra.  Is there a reason that you think your symptoms are related to such a specific area?  Are you sure your symptoms aren't more so related to post-pregnancy related changes to the uterus/vagina?  It sounds like you might benefit from seeing a urogynecologist for further help.

i have a pressure on my bladder that is an ache too. i constantly feel like i need the loo. been taking urispas. but there is no relief. i do not have a uti, we checked. what could this be? its been here since 22/03/2020

Urologist: Consult a urologist. Appropriate testing will be done in order to make a diagnosis and advise you. There may be a noninfectious process like interstitial cystitis as the problem.

Cystitis, prostatic: it is important to know the temporal relationship of these two groups of symptoms as well as duration of each group of symptoms.  In   several conditions one can have both bowel and lower urinary tract  symptoms, such as prostatitis,  prostatic abscess, psoas abscess, tumor, mass, parasites etc.,
