Exertional Headache: This sounds like exertional headache, which can come on with any physical exertion. Many exertional headaches are secondary, meaning caused by another process, and some experts recommend MRI for all patients with truly exertional headaches, to rule out aneurysms and other serious problems. At least you should see a doctor and be examined for any red flags, or for other headache types e.g. Migraine.

Not playing would be: the best advice as otherwise you are reinjuring it again &amp; again. If you do have to play, then do check with your local Orthopod and Some Taping could be done to the affected area to give you some relief, which unfortunately will last only till some one bumps into that area or you hit it with your own hand or elbow.

Muscle aches: Pain after exercise can be treated with hydration and anti inflammatories such as Ibuprofen and tylenol (acetaminophen). Start slow dynamic exercises to warm the muscles back up and then stretch them out.  Be sure to stretch after activity to reduce your pain after sports.

Pain in this area may come from medial tibial stress syndrome (mtss), stress fractures, or compartment syndrome. Identifying the underlying reason for your pain will guide a specific plan of care. No: Your recovery should be quicker than that.  Just judging from this information alone, i suspect you are not in your top physical condition. As you train, your recovery time will improve.

If it hurts: Assuming this is just a ganglion cyst i would only recommend surgery if it is bothering you. These cysts are benign.

i was playing basketball and fell, now my knee is hot and has a soft spot on the top of my knee, do i need to get that checked out?

Basketball Injury: If you fell and landed on your knee then the odds are that you bruised the kneecap and also the tendon. If you can straighten your knee while seated then you probably did not damage your quadriceps.    If there is an area of swelling over the patella and it feels like fluid then it may need to be aspirated.

why do we get a bump when we hit our head? i was playing basketball and hit my head against someone's forehead and now i have a bump that hurts.

Contusion/hematoma: Contusion is our fancy word for bruise while hematoma refers to a collection of blood. You can develop a bump anywhere you get hit but it's more noticeable on your head because your skull is so close so surface that swelling can't go anywhere inwards so it swells outwards as a bump. You'll notice soreness on your thigh for instance when hit there but no swelling per se b/c it's gone inwards.

i never sweat even when i play basketball so when i get overheated while playing outside i usually see black dots and faint. should i be worried?

Concerning: Heat exhaustion can be serious and is caused by excessive sweating from being overheated. If you stop sweating when overheated very dangerous heat stroke can occur. Fainting during exertion may also be caused by abnormal heart rhythm or other Heart or blood pressure abnormalities. So,if these symptoms are a frequent occurrence, see a physician for evaluation and appropriate testing.
