Tough Q: Without a lot of history issues of cause are hard to assess - if it si recent change or getting worse, it woudl be wise to rule out a medical cause - possibly consulting with and ENT to rule out vestibular system problems.  If you had a recent near miss or accident / trauma it could be anxiety related.  The fix may depend if it is medical or psychological.

Ginger or dramamine (dimenhydrinate): Ginger or ginger ale works well to cut down on motion sickness.  Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) works well to combat motion sickness.  You must start taking it the day before to be most effective.  Try not to look at books, phones, or try to read in a bumpy car this will only make things worse.

i will be 10 weeks pregnant on thursday. leaving out to go to a vacation in fl. i get car sick easily now. what can i take to help with the sickness?

Talk to your doctor: There are medications you can take for morning sickness or car sickness that are safe in pregnancy.  However, it is generally recommended that you avoid any medications in the first trimester except for prenatal vitamins, unless absolutely necessary.  If you keep yourself hydrated, you should do fine if it is typical morning sickness.

is it bad to have your ac on in your car full blast and then get off to 108 degrees f?  can you get sick changing your body temperature so rapidly?

Not really: This appears to be similar to hot and cold showers, which are very healthy. It increases and decreases your arterial diameter. It may actually be good for you. But I am not aware of any study that has looked at that. You may find something on google scholar. 

With any underlying disease, such as high blood pressure, you must check with your doc!

Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Accepted Answer

Tablet use: Using your eyes does not weaken them.  This is a common miss perception that may people have.  It may cause eyestrain but even eyestrain will not permanent change or damage your eyes.

my 8yr old daughter gets a cold about once a month. is it normal to get sick that often at this age? she also gets carsick easily,even on short trips by car. she is pale and has dark circles under her eyes, but her dr thinks it's just her complexion?

: Many children get frequent head colds until they develop immunity to many of the 100 types of viruses that cause them. Associating with other kids is a factor. I find that excessively dry environment increases susceptibility. I believe in giving Vit C supplements to aid resistance. I think her easy car sickness isn't related or pathological. Have her checkups &amp; basic labs been OK?

If very sensitive: Open the window for a while when you get a new care if the new car smell bothers you.  That smell is so popular that you can buy aerosol cans of such smell to 'freshen' an older car.
