: I think Drs. take patients seriously.  However, it depends on your concerns.  If a Dr. thinks that your concerns might be exaggerated, then he/she might be offended.  You can always seek out another practitioner.

doctors why do we need to take pills to be happy and emotionally stable. is it really hard to be happy?

Accepted Answer

Yes: It is difficult, but not impossible to be happy. It is not a necessity to "take pills to be happy." medications can help but so can psychotherapy. Other things that help include cultivating positive feelings, becoming meaningfully engaged in a career, and nurturing close relationships with others. I recommend a book by a non-therapist called, "happiness is a serious problem" by d. Prager (1998).

Great article but...: I think it's an excellent article. It provides references to support the recommendations ; there is evidence that each of the foods listed can increase cancer risk as well as harm health in other ways. That said, it is important to remember that "the dose makes the poison." none of these will kill you if only eaten on occasion, but a diet predominately of such foods will inevitably destroy health.

my doctors arnt communicating and i need info on cardiomyophathy and if symtoms are worsening what action do i take? my doctors wont help

Depends: Cardiomyopathy has many causes.  I recommend getting a second opinion if your doctors are not explaining the condition to you.
