Pelvic exam: In a female, physical exam includes a pelvic exam and a pap smear.After all by ignoring this area one could miss serious conditions of the pelvis which could jeopardize your health and make you incapable of performing your best at sports!

Be honest: Celiac disease can in some cases affect performance with fatigue and side effects of medication.  Sports physicals are designed (hopefully) to try and find out about serious risks such as impending heart stoppage, asthma and aspects of physical fragility which would render athletic performance hazardous. Celiac disease is not one of those.

Hello. : Hello.  During a physical examination, a doctor examines the outer and inner lips (labia), the uterus and the cervix. The doctor palpates these areas as well as the ovaries and fallopian tubes (although these can sometimes be quite hard to feel).  The bladder is also usually palpated as well as the rectum.  Usually a small amount of feces is checked for blood. Usually a speculum examination is performed to visualize the inside of the vagina and the cervix and to take cell samples.  The doctor will look to ensure the tissue appears normal (no ulcerations, warts, polyps etc).This will allow the doctor to check for infections as well.

Chaperone: a male doctor should have a female chaperone  doctors are all used to "things" like penile or vaginal lesion so try to relax  but if a female physician is available please ask

I don't think so,-: -but a nurse or CNA should always B in the exam room,  more so if a minor. Bware those who don't follow this practice.

Depends: Depends on the state you live in.  Some MDs do it as part of any physical as it is an inexpensive and quick way to look at the function of different parts of the body.

Generally, No: As part of the recommended sports physical, drug testing is not done.  A urine test may be obtained, but it is testing for blood, sugar, protein, etc.  However, some schools require drug testing for participants in extra-curricular activities (sports, band, etc.).  That is a local issue and, generally, the physician doing the exam is not a participant in the drug screen nor privy to the results.
