right after i woke up from my endoscopy my top lip was swollen, a little raw inside and white blisters. it really felt sore. what happened?  still 12 hour later and swollen i ripped white skin  blisters off of inside of mouth just now?

Endoscopy: More than likely your lip got caught between the scope and your teeth. This should heal up and resolve in 2-3 days.

No: I assume you are asking about esophagus, stomach and small bowel lymph nodes.  In this case no.  However you can see the tonsils quite well.

hi, my mom 68yo, had endoscopy the other day. last night she noticed her feet swollen. can water retention be posibly caused by endoscopy? thank you

It is unlikely: that water retention could be caused by endoscopy but potentially she was given excessive IV fluids during the procedure or was told to drink a lot of fluids after the procedure.

24 y/o acid reflux past, throat feels inflamed, swollen, food feeling stuck. ent saw nothing. i'm also hoarse. endoscopy next week what could this be?

Worse GERD: it sounds like your GERD is worse. It may be that you need to have an increase in your medication and buckling down on antireflux precautions. Hopefully you'll be able to tell more after the endoscopy.  Stick with your current medications for now, and consider adding in extra Tums (calcium carbonate) when ever you have worse symptoms. Good luck.

That is normal: It will get better over time..Drink warm tea or cold liquids whichever feels better to make feel better

India: I don't know the standards at the clinic where this was performed. However, standards of care would require that sterilized equipment be used &amp; that medical staff scrub up.  If that is observed, then you should not  have contracted HIV via these procedures.

3 month history of chest pain, dyspnea, and throat tightness.   chest xrays, cpet, all fine. 1 month history of throat pain. nasal endoscopy showed swollen epiglottis and ent says silent reflux..concerned about throat cancer. should we do imaging?

: For the throat symptoms workup I would abide by the advice of your ENT. If reflux is a problem you may also be experiencing an esophageal motility disorder or actual inflammation of the esophagus to account for the chest discomfort. For this portion of your workup I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist to obtain an accurate diagnosis and receive appropriate treatment &amp; follow-up.

Histamine blockers: Try histamine 1 blockers (such as benadryl, (diphenhydramine) allegra, zyrtec, claritin) with histamine 2 blockers (such as zantac, pepcid, tagamat).  Also try some ice packs for less than 5 minutes at a time.

Depends : It would depend on the cause.  If it is from trauma, it will take time and ice may help.  If it is from an unknown cause i would see a physician... Possibly a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

Allergy?: That could be as a result to allergic reaction to certain type of meds. Or foods.
