my nose have been very dry, and when i blow it or pick it, it has blood. it is because of the cold weather? and just now, when i spat out my phlegm, it was dark red... never had it before, this is the first time. is it a sign of cancer? hope not!

Nasal bleed: If you are otherwise well and have a history of nasal bleeding, the source is most likely from the nasal passages. If it recurs or persists, please have a chest imaging study and TB test.

Benign nodule : Common surface nodules on the neck include cysts and lipomas. They may grow larger or be painful. However there are some nodules that may be cancerous. See a dermatologist for an evaluation.

hey, i have pairs of pea sized lymph nodes all over my body. i also have a pair of pea sized immovable lymph nodes at the back of my head in my occipital region. none of my nodes have changed at all over a 6 month period. is this a sign of cancer?

Dermatographism: Some people get hives when the skin is scratched. This results in linear welts and itching that lasts 1-2 hours.

Most cases are not associated with any conditions, but it can be associated with other conditions.

No: Chronic bad taste in the mouth is usually a result of sinus disease, gum disease, or acid reflux (stomach acid coming up into the mouth.)  medications can cause this, as can nutritional supplements. Zinc deficiency can also cause this.  Very rarely, cancers of the mouth or throat can cause a bad taste in the mouth, but other symptoms would be expected.

Change : Any changing pigmented mole or freckle should be examined by a dermatologist for the possibility of skin cancer.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor. You may feel the bump every couple of weeks, if the bump doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other bumps appear, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.

Biopsy needed: The small bump which developed around the mole may just be from trauma to the area. However, the only way to accurately determine if the mole is cancerous is to have a biopsy.
