Strep throat: Your symptoms sound a lot like acute Streprococcal pharyngitis ("Strep throat"). You need throat culture to confirm the diagnosis. Antibiotics at this late date won't shorten your sickness, but will help prevent acute rheumatic fever from the Strep throat, &amp; subsequent rheumatic heart disease. Do see your clinician. Maybe: Pet activity correlates with sugar utilization, and increases can be seen in malignancies, but also other inflammatory and infectious conditions.

Acute tonsillitis : Sounds like an acute bacterial infection of tonsils with enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. You should see a doctor and get a rapid strep test, regular throat culture, and maybe a mono test too. You likely will require antibiotic therapy, and possibly pain medication.

Post-nasal drainage: Your symptoms are probably just due to some post-nasal drainage which can cause throat pain/irritation and cough. Red and white sports on tonsils are not too concerning. The white spot is likely debris (called a tonsillolith). They are annoying but not dangerous. The red patch is probably from irritation from the drainage. Try antihistamine or steroid nose spray.

Need to examine: It is unlikely that what you feeling are lympnodes. You are probably feeling the rib below the collar bone.
You may watch and wait. You may feel the node,or what you think is a lymph node, every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, you should see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine, if you are under 27 years of age.

i had a thyroidectomy 7 years ago i had most of my lymph nodes removed from my neck i have thus 1 spot by my incision that is more inflamed than usual?

Inflammed: Hello,

The inflamed area may not be related to the thyroidectomy since it has been over 5 years ago.  The inflamed scar region should be further evaluated.

i have got two lumps on my neck in the same spot on both sides and they are both the same they are ate rhe top of the front of my neck and i have a common cold so could it be lymph nodes i'm also skinny?
