MILARIA: It sounds like MILARIA  inflammation of the ducts in the oral mucosa . It usually responds to a course of antibiotics and antihistamines.

Canker sore: You may have a canker sore or 'fever blister' , casued by the herpes simplex type 1 virus, or perhaps just an 'apthous ulcer'
have your dr look at the lip lesion. Rx treatment may help.

Mucus glands: If the spots are painless, I suggest just watching them for a few days. Most likely you're just seeing normal mucus secreting glands. Everybody has them inside their lips, easily seen if the lip tissues are stretched. If they are painful or turn into open sores, see a doctor.

See a  specialist: This could be anything from a food allergy to early oral cancerous lesions.  Advise you to see someone to evaluate.

Possible: If the lesion was isolated it is less likely to be herpetic, as they usually come in clusters. That said, it is still possibly herpes. If so, it may return at some point in the same spot.  One other possible cause is a small abcess, which can occur in sweat glands, hair follicles or small cysts and usually resolve on their own. See your doctor to consider blood work and evaluation.

A baby can develop thrush in the mouth which looks like white patches that are located on the inner lips, inner cheek, roof of the mouth, or on the tongue.  It often is painful for the baby to feed and if nursing the infection can transfer to the breast.  You should schedule a visit with your baby's doctor to have this evaluated.

Thrush? Get checked.: A common condition in newborn is oral thrush. This is a superficial fungal infection. It tends to cause a white patchy coating on tongue, lips, cheeks. At times it may cause discomfort and infant will tend to eat less. Have it checked by your child's doctor to make sure and to obtain therapy.

Fordyce spots.: These sound like Fordyce spots, which are slightly enlarged sebaceous glands visible through the thin skin of the vermilion (red part of lip). They are of no concern (other than appearance) and do not indicate disease state or problem.
