Sore?: If your throat is sore and you see white exudate (pus balls) then you can gargle with salt water or half/half peroxide and mouthwash for relief.. It would be best to be seen to be sure it is not strep throat. If you see white balls and are not ill, they could be tonsilliths or trapped food particles, which are not a problem. Gargling also helps remove them. A visit will help clear that up.

i only have 1 tonsil. every now & then will get a sore throat. tonsil leaks fluid & has puss balls. any thoughts?

Surgery?: It is highly unlikely you only have one tonsil.  Most likely the other tonsil is so small, it can not be visualized.  If the tonsil that you see has pus and infection, you may consider a culture and sensitivity for an appropriate antibiotic.  The indication for tonsil surgery is 3-4 episodes of documented tonsillitis in a year.

i have puss balls coming out from the sidewalls of my mouth. bad breath and thirst occur as well. no sore throat. have had it for weeks. any ideas?

See your dentist: Many oral disorders have very similar symptoms. The main symptom of infection is puss. Your condition needs a professional management.  See your dentist for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.

Go to urgent care: Get a doctor to see you and checked for strep and mono. You many need antibiotics.

Many Possibilities: There are several things it could be other than strep.  There are several viruses and bacteria that can purulent discharge in the back of the throat and tonsils.  For example, mono can cause a reaction that looks similar to strep throat.  Most of these infections will improve with time and without antibiotics.  If your symptoms have been worse, it is always reasonable to follow with your physician.

i have puss on tonceles and large bumps on back of tongue and throat but don't hurt. do u know what could be wrong?

Probably normal: If you do not have pain and no fever then this may be normal. All of our tongues have bumps on the back of them and just maybe you never noticed them. The tonsils can collect debris and dead cells that slough off and these can collect as small white plugs in the tonsil itself. If there is no pain it is unlikely that you have an infection.

i have large amounts of puss draining from my right tonil when pressure is applied when i yawn or tense my throat. what does this mean?

As above : It means u need to see an ENT physician  for evaluation and treatment with antibiotic and u doctor may advise tonsillectomy.

i can squeeze this white puss ball like stuff out of my tonsil. it comes from the side on tonsil where it sits against side of throat. be worried?

Family practice : If it hurts and you feel i'll with a fever you may have tonsillitis.Sometimes you can develope a collection of saliva/food mixture in the craters of the tonsils. It turns white and thick in appearance. Gargling can help prevent or eliminate it.

what is the best and fastest way to get rid of painful puss pockets in my throat?

Tonsilliths : The pus pockets in the tonsils are related to crypts in the tonsil that fill with food them get infected and filled with pus.  You can try a water pik  device used for the gums and point it on the tonsils.  Use a low setting like 2 or 3 to get used to the pressure.  If this does not work, you will need the tonsils to be removed.  Removing the tonsils solves the  problem.  It is painful though.

i have puss or yellow stuff on my glands and my throat is sore  i'm 16 could it be tonsillitis?

Doctor can evaluate: Throat pain can be from strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), mono, a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees a doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to see about antibiotics). The doctor can swab the throat for a 5-minute test to check for strep.
