Don't bother...: Might be a tooth abscess, which needs to be treated by a dentist. "Popping" it will not solve the problem.

Determine Cause: What caused the pimple? How long has it been there? Color? Size? Location? Movable? Condition of teeth in that area? If the lesion has not resolved on its own within a two week timeframe, please see a local dentist for an evaluation.

Could be abscess: Has he had his teeth examined recently? Could be a cavity which has caused the baby tooth in that area to become non-vital. Take him to see his dentist to have it examined and treated.

: You should very well be concerned. You appear to have a draining abscess with a fistula based on your description. Without an exam and radiographs it is impossible to diagnose your problem. Your local dentist can examine you and determine if you need further treatment.

Infection?: May be inflammation or more likely an infection. Regardless, see your own dentist asap to both see why food and floss is getting stuck and also whether you have a gum problem/infection that requires treatment.  Problem may have started from cavity, broken filling, loose filling, overhanging filling.

It may be serious!: It is most likely an infection and you should see a dentist asap for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Untreated infections can spread and cause serious complications. I wouldn't wait until it flares up and you have severe pain and swelling.

Fistula: It may be a draining abscess. Cause could be periodontal or endodontic in nature. Either way it needs to be evaluated by a dentist for proper treatment.

: The swelling associated with an impacted wisdom tooth could be due to infection. It is possibly due to food impaction and this swelling could recur until the wisdom tooth is extracted or has erupted into it proper space with right angulation. See a proper specialist for an eval.

It sounds like u r: describing a pustule which could be associated with an underlying abscess.This would require proper antibiotics and possible surgical drainage.Go c ur dentist.There r other painful mouth/gum lesions possible,but the one above must be ruled out.
