Patch?: Usually oral meds such as the Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors/ SSNRI / Tricyclic antidepressants or hydroxyzine are better initial choices.

after having blood in my wee & bladder pain i had a cystoscope which showed red patches tha the urologist said he was worried about & took a biopsy , does this mean i have cancer ? x

Your symptoms, the: red patches seen on cystoscopy &amp; the necessity of doing a biopsy are NOT proof that you have bladder cancer.  Only the RESULTS of the biopsy  will distinguish bladder cancer from other problems that can cause the findings you describe.  Interstitial cystitis, an inflammatory disorder of the bladder, is at least as likely a cause.  I do wish you the best!  Dr. Anne

7-10 days?: It depends on several factors. Are you still using the nystatin? Are you using a steroid inhaler? Are you done with the antibiotic? If you are not using a steroid and you are done with the antibiotic then you should get better quicker.

Ringworm: Most likely ringworm which is a fungal infection that can be treated with topical antifungal creams. There are other skin diseases which can mimic ringworm such as eczema and psoriasis. It should be seen by a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.

Yeast infection: Could be oral thrush (yeast infection), leukoplakia which is an early precursor to oral cancer, or lichen planus (an inflammatory disorder which may affect only the mouth or other parts of the body). It needs to be examined by a dermatologist or dentist for possible treatment.

Hard to know: Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection that appears as spots of various colors: from white to reddish brown to light tan.  These lesions can be more apparent after sun exposure because the surrounding skin becomes darker than the involved skin.  It is treated with otc anti-fungal agents with "azole" in the active ingredient name.  As this is just one possibility, confirming with Dermatologist.
